Adviser Frameworks
In 2004, Partnerships for Schools (PfS) procured seven national frameworks for advisory services to assist local authorities to choose the right private sector partners to support them in delivering their local BSF and other schools capital programmes.
PfS now operates just four Adviser Framework Agreements. These are listed below, along with the names of the framework contractors (in alphabetical order).
August 2010 update: the adviser frameworks can still be used for repeat LEP works for those BSF projects still under way. The results of the Capital Spending Review (due by late 2010) will determine their wider use beyond BSF.
(For information about the Contractors' Framework procured by PfS for the delivery of Academies, see the Academies process.)

Further Information
Selected contractors on the Financial and Technical Advisory Services Framework Agreements can provide an additional Lead Adviser role. This optional role is intended to cover any overall external adviser management needs which an Authority may have as well as the individual specialist inputs such as Legal, Financial, Technical or ICT.
Local authorities wishing to find out more about the Frameworks and how they can be utilised should read the BSF Frameworks User Guide which contains an Access Agreement that needs to be signed by local authorities before they can access the confidential information relating to the Frameworks (available on the secure workspace on the BSF Community) and purchase any of the Services available under them.
Pen pictures of the Framework contractors and their fees are available on the secure workspace on the BSF Community once local authorities have signed the Access Agreement and Designated User Forms (contained in the Access Agreement).
