Press statement: Deputy Chief Executive for PfS

13 June 2006

Partnerships for Schools announced today that Andrew Robertson has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive of Partnerships for Schools. Andrew will continue to be responsible for taking all BSF transactions from the point of an approved Business Case through the bidding and evaluation phase through to Preferred Bidder, Financial Close and into the operational phase of the LEP.

Mike Grabiner, Chairman of PfS said:

“Andrew is a first-class commercial negotiator and manager who has brought real energy to delivery of the transactions being undertaken as part of BSF. In recent weeks he has also taken on responsibility for delivering Academies. I am delighted to confirm his appointment as Deputy Chief Executive both in recognition of the increase in his responsibilities at PfS as well as the important role he has played for some time in presenting PfS and the BSF programme to the private sector and the wider stakeholder community”.

Further to the recent announcement that Richard Bowker will be joining National Express Group Plc as Chief Executive in the Autumn, an external search is now underway to fill his post.
