Wave 1: First school (not including quick wins) opened September 2008

Solihull is a Wave 1 BSF project that is currently rebuilding and refurbishing several schools in the north of the borough.

Schools opened:

  • Through 'quick win' partial funding given to a rebuild project already under way, BSF helped to fund the May 2006 opening of the co-located SEN schools, Forest Oak and Merstone, which were built by Moss Construction and were the very first schools in the country to open with BSF funding.
  • Lanchester Pupil Referral Unit opened in September 2008.
  • Archbishop Grimshaw and Park Hall opened in October 2008.

More details about the schools that have opened can be found in the Schools Directory.
