Wave 1: First schools opened September 2008
(not including 'quick wins')
Newcastle's Wave 1 BSF project work will be carried out in two phases. The designs for the eight schools in the first phase have all been completed and planning permission for these schools has been granted.
Schools opened:
- All Saints College received new sports facilities in 2007 as part of a funding ‘quick win’
- The first phases of Walbottle Campus and Benfield, plus Walkergate, a primary school delivered through the LEP, opened in September 2008.
