Lambeth was London's first borough to begin construction on a BSF project, in February 2007.
Schools opened:
- The Michael Tippett School, a new school for children with special educational needs (SEN), was officially opened in April 2008 by the Secretary of State, Ed Balls.
- The country's first ever parent promoted school, The Elmgreen School in Lambeth, opened in September 2007 in fully-refurbished interim premises, and will receive a brand-new school through BSF funding in 2009.

- Apollo are the construction partner on Elm Court, Park Campus and Michael Tippett
- Bryan and Langley are contractor on Elmgreen's temporary facility
- Wilmot Dixon are partner on Stockwell Park High School
- Sir Alfred McAlpine are partner on Elmgreen School's new school
- RM Education are Lambeth’s preferred bidder for ICT
