Project status
Construction under way: first school to open January 2009
Knowsley, a Wave 1 BSF local authority, has ambitious plans to replace all of its secondary schools with seven new learning centres in a single phase of work.
Construction began on five sites in August 2007, and the first learning centre - North Huyton - is expected to open in January 2009, with all schools completed by January 2010.
