Leading Learning in London: supported by BSF
06 February 2007
This event was held in partnership between the Education & Planning team at PfS with London Challenge and the London Leadership Centre for Learning (LCLL) and University of London Institute of Education.
Over 170 delegates attended, including headteachers, governors, school staff, students and local authority representatives from the 17 London LAs involved in BSF waves 1 – 6, as well as representatives from major Pan-London and national education organisations and the London City Learning Centres. Mick Waters (Director of Curriculum at the QCA) engaged delegates in thinking around curriculum development for the future, and Dr Keri Facer (Research Director, Futurelab, UK) encouraged delegates to consider how the technology that young people use out of school has implications for the way it is used for learning in schools.
A podcast and a blog from the day are being produced, plus suggestions for ‘next steps’. These and further information about follow-up opportunities will be posted in April.
