First schools to open January 2009
Lewisham's BSF programme will build a new school and rebuild or refurbish eight of the Borough’s existing secondary schools and three SEN schools, as well as provide new ICT investment across all secondary schools, including New Woodlands, Crofton, Forest Hill, Greenvale and Crossways.
Lewisham Council announced that Learning21 is preferred bidder for their BSF programme in March 2007. Learning21 is a joint venture between VT Group and Costain Group PLC.
Building work commenced on the three Wave 1 schools in August 2007: Catford and Sedgehill will open in phases from January 2009, and Northbrook will open in September 2009.
