Design Quality Indicator

The DQI is a tool to assist with the briefing, development and evaluation stages of a design project. The Construction Industry Council has developed a DQI for Schools, which is used at several stages in BSF projects to evaluate functionality, build quality and impact of a design or finished building. See the Design Guidance section of this website for more infomation, and a link to download CABE's publication, Picturing School Design, about the use of DQI for Schools.
