Corporate Resources Director: Simon Wiles

Simon joined PfS in June 2008 as Director of Corporate Resources. He manages internal services within PfS which mainly consist of Finance, IT, HR and Administration. Simon is a member of the Senior Management Team and attends Unitary Board and Audit Committee meetings.

Prior to joining PfS Simon was Director of Resources and Deputy Chief Executive of the City of York Council, where he was responsible for Finance, IT, Property and public and customer services. He also led a range of corporate projects including those relating to the new City Council offices, transformation of customer and business services and the Council’s Pay and Grading review.

Simon’s career has also included several years financial experience gained in the London Boroughs of Newham, Hackney, Southwark and Lewisham during the 1980’s and 1990’s. Simon is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and until recently was a member of their Housing Panel. Simon is also a graduate of the University of York.   

Corporate Resources Team

The Corporate Resources Team at PfS are responsible for budgeting, accounts, financial reporting, IT systems and support, data management, business processes, human resources and administration. Their main challenges are to consolidate, systematise and modernise the business, whilst efficiently and effectively supporting PfS’s changing and expanding responsibilities.
