"As we move into the autumn term, the delivery of BSF continues apace. Over half of the local authorities in England are now engaged in the programme, covering around 1,000 secondary schools between design and delivery. At the start of the new school year, 22 BSF schools opened their doors to students, teachers and local communities the length and breadth of the country.
The autumn term will also see us host our annual conference on 18 September and the inaugural Excellence in BSF Awards, taking place on 26 November. Both of these are important events in the BSF calendar as they provide us with an opportunity to pause for reflection, to consider lessons learned and to celebrate the very real difference that this unprecedented opportunity is making to the lives of thousands of young people already.
I do hope to see many of you at the events and elsewhere around the country as we continue working together to help transform education and, as a result, the life chances of every young person in England."
